What We’re Doing Differently
Our proprietary new approach uses state-of-the-art highly reliable, high output hard disc (HD) manufacturing technologies combined with small area (about 5" squares) evaporation deposition processes which have been proven to produce the highest efficiency CIGS thin-films. Our manufacturing system architecture emphasizes the use of rapid single cell production techniques to improve control of the manufacturing environment leading to the highest film quality, and solar cell performance.
Market Opportunity
We believe CIGSolar™, a hybrid cross-industry approach, that combines the best attributes of the HD and thin-film solar industry will enable the profitable ramping of production of CIGS solar cells as an alternative to the use of silicon solar cells, a multi-billion dollar market opportunity, while also offering a low barrier to entry for manufacturers.
